GAMECHANGER- Beautycounter Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel

Let me just reiterate- this little gem is a gamechanger. I don’t use that word lightly. This was honestly the product that was the real hook, line, and sinker for me.

The Experience

On my first run with this little glass jar of magic, I had been using a loaner Countermatch kit for a few days already. On night 3, I applied the Overnight Peel before my moisturizer. There was a slight tingling. Not nearly to the extent of a spa facial tingly-burn, but a soft sensation. I always apply moisturizer about 30 seconds later and it’s an instant soother.

That first use, I could already feel that this product was doing exactly what it was formulated to do– clearing away dull surface cells to reveal a brighter and more refreshed looking complexion. But it wasn’t until the next morning that I realized it for the gamechanger that it truly is. I sh#t you not- I was basically petting my own cheek all.day.long. I couldn’t stop. My face was SO smooth and SO soft to touch. Now, I’m not recommending you do that- especially during a pandemic. Face touching is bad. But I just couldn’t remember the last time my skin felt so buttery soft and just healthy.

hello

My Overnight Resurfacing Peel Results

  • My skin is SO much smoother
  • My crows feet are not as pronounced as they once were
  • My skintone is far more even & sun spots that were once on my nose are almost completely gone
  • My skin just feels healthier & looks much less dull

The Routine

Currently I’m following a slight variation of the Countermatch regimen with a few of the Counter+ products thrown in (Charcoal Mask, Brightening Facial Oil, & of course my Resurfacing Peel). I also cleanse 2-3 times per day (if I workout, its 3) with my Charcoal Bar– that’s step 1 for me. I follow up with my Toner, Eye Cream, Facial Oil, & lastly Moisturizing Lotion. Twice weekly (I do it every Tues/Thurs just so I always remember when it’s time) I replace my oil with the Resurfacing Peel. This product is designed to be used just a few days per week.

I’ve been following this same routine for a few months, and I can’t say enough good things about the regimen a whole. I wish I had taken more photos at the beginning of this journey just to show how incredible my results have been. I came close to taking a selfie for #toxintuesday this week but…quarantine..and my hair hasn’t been washed in a few days.
