My photography journey with the Andrascik family began with the most lovely snowy (but FRIGID) maternity session a couple of months ago, and ended with the sweetest newborn baby photoshoot just a few weeks ago. From the moment we stepped out of our vehicles on this 14 degree day, I felt an instant connection to this duo, and I knew we were going to have a really great time together. That “photographer’s intuition” was spot on! These two were SO wonderful to work with despite the insanely cold day and I already couldn’t wait to meet their baby boy!
I was happily surprised to find that their baby was every bit as easy to work with! We made our way through just about every single set up that we had planned for him and he stayed nice and sleepy almost the entire way through our photoshoot! Jaxson was what you would call a complete dream baby! How stinking cute is he with this little teddy?!
Family & individual parent shots are always one of my absolute favorite parts of any newborn baby photoshoot. These are also some of the photos that I know my clients always cherish the most. Because growing your family by another tiny human is one of life’s greatest milestones- one that should be celebrated and remembered forever.
This little man was a complete angel! And we got some of the sweetest, most fun expressions out of him when we shot his mug shots! We always carve out some time during every single newborn and baby milestone session to capture these cute black & white images.
I typically incorporate just 1-2 prop shots into my newborn sessions. We went for a very organic, neutral in color, simple bowl set up with lots of varying textures for this one, and I just love the final result!
The next few photos are truly so representative of exactly what I aim for every newborn session to encompass. Beautifully simplistic with all focus on sweet baby Jaxson.
