This couple was absolutely beautiful and we had such a gorgeous beach maternity photoshoot a few weeks ago! I often feel so blessed to live in an area of the US that offers four very distinct seasons. As a photographer, it is awesome to have so much versatility as the bright and airy spring and summer seasons turn to gorgeous fall jewel tones, and again to bright winter whites. But- there is always this odd point right as winter ends and spring hasn’t quite made it’s debut. The trees and shrubs aren’t yet green, the grass isn’t nearly as vibrant, and the sky tends to be a bit dreary. While this time of year isn’t a photographer’s dream setting, Marina & Steve were absolutely glowing during our session and the stunning shots we created together were nothing short of perfect.
When you think “Western Pennsylvania,” a beach is definitely not a location that comes to mind. This spot has quickly become mine and my clients’ favorite location. Almost every family I’ve had in the last few months has chosen this exact setting! And to take it a step further than just a beach maternity photoshoot… Whats amazing about it is that because it’s technically a state park, we’re also surrounded by forest land. I love that this gives us the opportunity shoot in a nearby meadow to switch up the backdrop and bring more variety to the session.
The way the sun was peaking out between the trees was giving me LIFE. I am so looking forward to warm sunny days with lovely sunset sessions in the near future! Marina was absolutely gorgeous. She had one of the most beautiful soft smiles I’ve photographed. I cannot wait to meet their little boy later this month! He’ll surely one handsome little guy!
